Andrew Houchins: Associate Producer/ Education Artist

Andrew graduated from Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre. After graduation, he spent two years working with Rags to Riches Theatre for Young Audiences in Durham, NC, where he acted as tour manager and performer. He moved to Atlanta and became a member of the 2005-2006 Apprentice Company with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. He helped direct the inaugural Shakespeare Intensive for Teens program in the summer of 2006, and became an Artistic Associate that same season.

Andrew’s roles with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company include Buckingham in RICHARD III, The Bastard in KING JOHN, Gobbo and Arragon in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, Carlson in OF MICE AND MEN, Rosse in MACBETH, Marley and Young Scrooge in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and Ferdinand in LOVES LABOR’S LOST. He has also performed locally with Theatrical Outfit, the Agnes Scott Blackfriars and Theatre Decatur, as well as Unto These Hills in Cherokee, NC.
