The Weird Sisters Theatre Project
The Weird Sisters Theatre Project was founded in 2012 by a coalition of artists associated with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. Our Mission is to foster and cultivate opportunities for women in the theatrical arts. The Weird Sisters Theatre Project is committed to creating theatre by women, for everyone.
The Atlanta Shakespeare Company became the Fiscal Sponsor of the Weird Sisters Theatre Project in the Spring of 2013. This collaboration allows the Atlanta Shakespeare Company to further its mission to foster the growth of up-and-coming theatre companies and allows the Weird Sisters to develop and grow under the expertise of a well-established Atlanta theatre company.
What Are Audiences Saying about The Weird Sisters?
“Powerful women. Perfectly cast. Damn-near flawless. Incredibly grounded, hilarious, and moving.”
“Without question one of my favorite nights at the theatre in a long, long time.”
“I have to highly, highly, recommend that you make some time to see this show…it’s great acting, a great script, and (close to my heart) an ALL-FEMALE cast doing great work.”
“Anton in Show Business is the first step in, hopefully, a long journey for The Weird Sisters. It’s got some of the best acting that I’ve seen this year. If you’re a fan of theatre in Atlanta, you owe it to yourself to make the time to see this show.”
“Loved, loved, loved it! Don’t miss this magical, hilarious, and touching night of theatre, at a play about the magic, laughter, and love of a life in the theatre.”
ArtsAtl.com named Anton in Show Business one of its Notable Shows of 2012

The Weird Sisters present: Hot Pink, or Ready to Blow by Johnny Drago
It’s 1985 in small town New Pompeii, USA and time for the annual virgin sacrifice! But it looks like just one virgin isn’t cutting it this year, and town officials start tossing more and more high-school girls into the hungry volcano. In the vein of a classic 1980s sex comedy romp, join teens Tatanya, Cadence, and Brichelle as they set out to lose their V-cards in a hurry; they’ll get laid or die trying!
8/19 Preview, running 8/20-8/30 in the 3rd floor blackbox space at the Alliance Theatre. Tickets on sale soon!
We whole-heartedly thank the following people for their support of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project. Without their love, kindness, and encouragement we would not have been able to realize our dream of starting a professional theatre company dedicated to producing theatre by women, for everyone.
