The Weird Sisters Theatre Project
The Weird Sisters Theatre Project was founded in 2012 by a coalition of artists associated with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. Our Mission is to foster and cultivate opportunities for women in the theatrical arts. The Weird Sisters Theatre Project is committed to creating theatre by women, for everyone.
The Atlanta Shakespeare Company became the Fiscal Sponsor of the Weird Sisters Theatre Project in the Spring of 2013. This collaboration allows the Atlanta Shakespeare Company to further its mission to foster the growth of up-and-coming theatre companies and allows the Weird Sisters to develop and grow under the expertise of a well-established Atlanta theatre company.
What Are Audiences Saying about The Weird Sisters?
“Powerful women. Perfectly cast. Damn-near flawless. Incredibly grounded, hilarious, and moving.”
“Without question one of my favorite nights at the theatre in a long, long time.”
“I have to highly, highly, recommend that you make some time to see this show…it’s great acting, a great script, and (close to my heart) an ALL-FEMALE cast doing great work.”
“Anton in Show Business is the first step in, hopefully, a long journey for The Weird Sisters. It’s got some of the best acting that I’ve seen this year. If you’re a fan of theatre in Atlanta, you owe it to yourself to make the time to see this show.”
“Loved, loved, loved it! Don’t miss this magical, hilarious, and touching night of theatre, at a play about the magic, laughter, and love of a life in the theatre.”
ArtsAtl.com named Anton in Show Business one of its Notable Shows of 2012

Next Up: we bring you Sarah Ruhl’s graceful drama Late: A Cowboy Song in July.
