  • Traffic Challenges

We wanted to be sure that you know about all of the traffic issues that may make coming to The Shakespeare Tavern a challenge this weekend and for the next few months.

From ajc.com:"Six ramps serving the southbound Downtown Connector will be closed the weekend of June 6-8, according to the state Department of Transportation, shutting down access to drivers trying to enter the southbound highway at those points.

    · 10th Street on-ramp
    · North Avenue off-ramp
    · Williams Street off-ramp
    · Spring/Williams streets on-ramp
    · Courtland Street off-ramp
    · Freedom Parkway on-ramp"

    View the entire article here.

And even when these off ramps open back up, do note that the 10th and 14th St off ramps remain closed until winter of 2009. Read the article here.

The Downtown Resurfacing Project is going on now through November 2008. Read more about it here.

We have noticed that this construction is affecting the number of latecomers to our shows, so please keep informed and give yourself plenty of time. If you arrive early, you can always relax in our beautiful air-conditioned foyer until we open the lobby (5:45pm Thurs-Sat; 4:45pm on Sundays).

    Safe driving!
